A treat in store

We are delighted that over the next few weeks conservation work will be being carried out to the stencilling around our organ casing and vestry door. The work is being done by Lincoln Conservation, based at the University of Lincoln. We are very grateful for the donation received from the Lincolnshire Branch of The Betjeman Society in memory of Peter Leonard which has helped fund the restoration.

Here’s a taster of what the work might look like once the dingy brown degraded varnish has ben removed and conservation completed. The photos are of some preliminary test areas.
