Today (Friday, 13th December 2019) saw a special event in church as we gathered to say a special ‘thank you’ to our wonderful team of church sitters.
Last year, we were fortunate to receive around 14,000 visitors to our church, and our church sitters play a very important role in offering a warm welcome, sharing local knowledge and allowing us to open our doors on weekdays (from 10.30-11.30am).
At today’s event we heard an update from Sandra (pictured below), who does such a brilliant job in co-ordinating our team. Sandra reported that we had received more than 7000 visitors during the four days of Lincoln Christmas Market, and she had arranged for Shirley (one of our Deputy Churchwardens and a historian) to offer a fascinating talk on the history of the church and the local area.
A lovely morning was had by all, and we offer our grateful thanks to our church sitters, Sandra and Shirley, and all who come to visit us and share in this special place.
If you are interested in hearing more about our team of church sitters and opening times, please do get in touch. We would be pleased to hear from you. Our contact details are here.
